BOVEY Tracey Community Hospital is likely to close, residents were told this week.
A period of consultation is currently under way to decide the future of the health service in south Devon, and at a public meeting held at the town’s Phoenix Centre a panel of GPs and executives from the South Devon and Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said the service needed to make difficult decisions.
‘Doing nothing is not an option’, said Teignbridge GP Paul Johnson. ‘We have finite resources and staff.’
