MP MEL Stride is demanding more clarity over the future of health care provision in Teignbridge.

His call for more transparency from health chiefs came after a head-to-head with local doctors over the future of closure-threatened Ashburton and Buckfastleigh Hospital.

Mr Stride, fresh from a similar meeting with GPs in Buckfastleigh, made his comments after discussions with Dr Kate Field and Dr Ben Titford at Ashburton Surgery where healthcare services were the key talking point.
