TRAFFIC has been heavy in Newton Abbot town centre due to an accident near Queen Street.

The incident happened just after 1.30pm.

Reports say Kingsteignton Road, the B3195, is partially blocked both ways due to the accident and there is heavy traffic queuing between Queen Street and the A383 Newton Road.
