PORTREEVE Martin Davie was sworn in to begin his second term of the traditional two-year period in office at the Newton Abbot Borough Town Court Leet and Court Baron Annual Law Day on Saturday.

The event, in the town’s Constitutional Club, was presided over by the Lord of the Borough, Keith Stokes-Smith.
