TEIGNBRIDGE Council Planning Committee left residents confused and angry after seemingly twice refusing permission for 133 homes at Buckland Barton, Newton Abbot, and then giving the go ahead.
There were shouts from a packed public gallery that the councillors were 'in cloud cuckoo land' and 'we will take you to court'.
The 'third time lucky' vote at Monday's meeting came after Cllr Anna Klinkenberg proposed members accepted an officers' recommendation to go ahead, which Cllr Richard Keeling seconded.
