Details of 76 new homes to be built on the edge of Chudleigh have been approved, with minor concessions made to satisfy concerns of those living next to the site.

David Wilson Homes (South West) learned on Monday that its scheme to develop an eight-acre field off Oldway could proceed so long as it agreed to extend a 5ft 10in high wall along the entire boundary with Twindle Beer.

Some first floor windows in the new estate will also have to be fitted with obscured glass.
