COMMUNITY hospitals in Teignbridge have been ranked among the best in the country in a new survey.
Newton Abbot and Dawlish hospitals have been rated 'excellent' in the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) survey just published.
Ashburton & Buckfastleigh, Bovey Tracey and Teignmouth hospitals received an 'excellent' for privacy and dignity, and food, and 'good' for environment.
All five hospitals improved on their 2009 performance, a tribute, according to Sally Slade, NHS Devon's managing director for health and social care, to the work done by clinical and support staff.
