More than 150 runners took part in Bovey Tracey half marathon on Sunday.
There was also a family fun run in which almost 70 people participated.
The event, organised by Bovey Tracey Town Council and the town's football club, was hosted at the Recreational Ground, Newton Road.
'It was a wonderful occasion and the sun shone throughout, it might have even been a little too hot for some of the runners,' said Terry Westwood, town clerk at Bovey Tracey Town Council.
'Everyone was impressed with how it was organised and we'll be hosting it all again next year.'
First across the finish line in the half-marathon was Adam Holland, 24, from Tavistock. He completed the course in 1hr 18mins 6secs.
The fastest woman was Samantha Blanch, 20, from Dartmouth, who took 1hr 32mins 5secs.
