MORE than £2,000 was raised at a Macmillan Cancer Support event at Ugbrooke House, Chudeigh, at the weekend, by permission of Lord Clifford.
The funds will go towards maintaining the Macmillan post at Torbay Hospital and the work of the Lodge information centre.
The event was organised by Pam Warring, chairman of the Torquay committee of Macmillan Cancer Support, helped by members from the Newton Abbot committee, family and friends.
Several hundred people attended the event, and as well as enjoying the stalls, they were entertained by the Big Noise Chorus.
Tricia Heard, Devon area chairman, said Macmillan was grateful not only to Lord Clfford but to everyone who attended.
