CONCERN is growing for a missing teenage girl with links to Newton Abbot, police confirmed today (tues).

They are anxious to trace 15-year-old Abbie Grant, from Axminster, who was last seen in Exeter city centre exactly a week ago.

She is 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build with black shoulder-length hair tied in a ponytail. She was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a navy blue sweatshirt.

A police spokesman said: ‘We are concerned for Abbie’s welfare and need to locate her. If anyone has seen Abbie or knows of her whereabouts, they should please contact Devon and Cornwall police on 999 quoting log number 597 for December 8.’

He added that Abbie had known connections with Newton Abbot.
