ICYMI: Beavers pay visit to fire station

BUDDING Beavers from Buckfastleigh recently paid a visit to their town's fire station to find about the work of a firefighter.

The Beaver group from 1st Buckfastleigh Scout Group were shown around the station by its crack team of volunteer firefighters, who were on hand for demonstrations and to answer questions.

A spokesman for Buckfastleigh Fire Station said: 'We covered loads of fire safety stuff and had a good laugh, great kids make a great group, parents and leaders should be very proud.'

The session, which 1st Buckfastleigh Scout Group described as 'fantastic', was instead of the usual training night for the firefighters.
