THE crew from Bovey Tracet Fire Station paid their second visit to the town’s outdoor pool last week for some specialist water orientated training. The crew worked alongside staff and lifeguards to rescue an unconscious casualty from open water using water rescue equipment, such as wading suits, flotation devices and throw lines, before performing CPR. A spokesman for Bovey Tracey Fire Station said: ‘We thank the staff at our local pool for allowing us to use their facilities for our drill night on two different occasions and look forward to working with them more in the future.’
