A MAN whose body was found suspended from a bridge over the A380 at Kingsteignton has been named as Australian-born nightwatchman Shaun Lloyd from the Teign Valley.
Mr Lloyd, who was single, 50 and lived at GM Coachwork Ltd in Trusham, was discovered dangling from the Lindridge Lane overbridge near Eagle Farm at 10pm on January 14.
An inquest which opened in Plymouth yesterday heard there were no suspicious circumstances.
Coroner’s officer Graham Higginson said Mr Lloyd was born in Liverpool, Australia, on September 30 in 1967.
He said the results of toxicology tests were awaited as part of the investigation into the death.
He added that formal identification of Mr Lloyd had been carried out by Philip Barley.
The medical cause of death was given as respiratory arrest and suspension by ligature.
A full inquest will be heard later in the year.
