YOUNGSTERS from a Newton Abbot school will be showcasing their finest dancing skills in the town centre tomorrow.

Children from Wolborough Primary School are getting ready to treat shoppers and passers-by to a spot of Maypole dancing from 10am.

The annual tradition, which used to take place in the school grounds, takes place outside the town’s clock tower.

Sally Henley, town development manager, said: ‘I am grateful to the head teacher, staff and pupils of Wolborough School for all the effort which they put in to making this such a lovely town centre event.

‘It is truly wonderful to see these old traditions being kept alive within the community and we look forward to this colourful and uplifting event each year.
