A NEW cafe has opened in Ipplepen for people who have concerns about their memory.
Methodist minister the Rev Kevin Hooke cut a ribbon to mark the occasion before guests enjoyed an afternoon of activities and songs with tea and cake.
Mary Lynch, from the Newton Abbot Mental Health team, took questions.
Coordinator Sylvia Wheadon said: ‘We are so pleased to have the new memory cafe under way and are very grateful to our volunteers and everyone who has helped to make it happen. We look forward to many more successful sessions.’
The cafe will be open on the second Wednesday of the month in the Ipplepen Community Hub in East Street.
