TEIGNMOUTH jobsfair has been hailed a success by organisers.

More than 200 people came through the doors at the jobcentre in Clay Lane on Tuesday to see what local employers had to offer.

The exercise was aimed primarily at seasonal vacancies and training providers were invited to offer advice.

Eileen Herd, vacancy services manager, said: 'It was brilliant and we were busy throughout the day.

'It is the last one while we are at teignmouth so I'm glad it was a great success and we worked hard to make sure it was.

'Employers are saying that they have seen some good people and will be inviting them along for an interview with a view to starting employment.'
