AN Ashburton family was this week mourning the loss of their son in a road crash not far from Agadir, in Morocco.Paul Brewer – known as Paulo – apparently died instantly when the van in which he and a former university friend were travelling crashed on Thursday last week on a road between Agadir and Taghazout. The circumstances are unclear.Mr Brewer, 27, who was a keen surfer, had worked for Surf Maroc – Morocco's leading surf company – since September. The company is owned by friends he met while at university.It was while his family holidayed at Porthcothan, Cornwall, that he gained his love of surfing, which became an all-year-round and lifelong activity.Mr Brewer's funeral is to be held next Thursday at Torquay Crematorium for family and close friends.
