A SKI lift pilot and his employer have been charged with involuntary manslaughter after the death in 2011 of Teignbridge teenager Kieran Brookes.

The 14-year-old lost his life during a school trip to the French Alps.

He was strangled when the straps of his backpack became entangled as he tried to get off a ski lift in the resort of Chatel.
