When I heard George "The Brain" Osborne on Sunday's Andrew Marr Show I didn't know whether to

laugh or cry.

Here we have it, the second most powerful man in the country, (sorry Mr Clegg but you are a non starter, being there only to make up the numbers in my opinion) talking absolute b...... drivel.

Just to remind you of what he said, dear

readers, he said: "Ministers would also be encouraging local authorities to use existing powers enabling them to build on Green Belt land, if an equivalent area of land elsewhere is brought into the Green Belt.'

Brilliant George, b..... brilliant. Did you think that up all by yourself? I can see that the summer recess of Parliament has certainly stimulated that

brain cell of yours.

But may I put forward a radical and highly complicated

idea? How about not building on the Green Belt, but build on the "elsewhere land" instead!!

George, you have certainly missed you vocation, you would have been superb in 'Yes Minister'. You could have given Jim Hacker a run for his money, and

had Sir Humphrey stammering and shaking his head in frustration and disbelief.
