THE countdown’s begun for the biggest events in the Teignbridge calendar.

Bovey Tracey Craft Festival will be opening its doors on September 10-12, welcoming more than 200 of the UK’s finest independent designer-makers to Mill Marsh Park to take part in one of the Best Craft Festivals in Europe.

Spokesperson Fran Moorhouse said: ‘This year, more than ever, Craft Festival is very proud to announce our sponsors, whose partnership is a huge part of this award-winning event, made even more special after having to cancel Craft Festival 2020 due to the pandemic.’

The Craft Festival team and its sponsors met at the Devon Guild of Craftsmen on Tuesday to share their excitement of being part of this year’s Craft Festival.

Sarah James, director of Craft Festival said: ‘After the rollercoaster that was 2020, we’re delighted to say that Craft Festival Bovey Tracey is back. We’ll be showcasing the best in British craft, celebrate making and small business from across the country.

‘I’d personally like to take this opportunity to thank our partners, Bovey Tracey Town Council, Period Living Magazine, Devon Contract Waste, Plymouth College of Art, Devon Life Magazine, Pom Stitch Tassel, Made By Hand On Line, Western Event Hire, Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Meraki Arts School, Jolly Roger Life Size Figure Models, The Byre Gallery, Pretzel Studio, Stover School and Wignalls.

‘We can’t wait to welcome visitors back to meet the makers, to shop, take part in workshops, and enjoy the wider Festival atmosphere we know visitors love.’
