THE newest Rotary club in the UK was accepted into the movement at Teignmouth.

Teignmouth Estuary Rotary Club held its inaugural meeting at the Pickwick Restaurant and was given the blessing of the top brass.

Welcoming the new club were Carole Angliss, the district governor for Devon, assistant district governors Peter Thornhill and Peter Williams, district extension officer Felicity Murdon and national extension and retention officers John Banks and Peter Davy.

Neighbouring Rotary club members also attended.
