Toddler Jacob Wernick drowned in a pool at a holiday cottage. Now his distraught parents are raising funds for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust in his memory as a tribute to the 'valuable help' it gave during the tragedy at Bickington. Ben and Claire Wernick have raised several thousand pounds so far 'to ensure they can continue to help others who need emergency care'. A trust spokesman said it was a 'humbling' gesture at a difficult time. An inquest on Jacob has been opened and adjourned in Bristol.
