WORLD champion DJ Lee Woodvine has bagged himself a spot on the bill at this year’s Lemonfest music spectacle in Newton Abbot.
Lancashire-born DJ Woody will be joining the likes of 70s hip hop legends the Sugar Hill Gang and Slamboree when the festival returns to the town this summer.
Music-lovers will be entertained with two-days of live music across five stages at the town’s racecourse from June 8 until 9.
DJ Woody, arguably one of the UK’s most influential turntablists, helped design the world’s first ever musical turntable instrument, the Vestax Controller One.
He is famed as a prolific pioneer of new scratch techniques and will appear at Lemonfest as part of the 45 Live stage takeover in the Big Top arena on Friday night alongside Boca 45, the Allergies and Pete Isaac.
This year’s Rinse-Out drum and bass stage will also see the likes of TC, Traumatik, Insommiax and David Boomah perform.
Other acts set to grace the stage at the extravaganza includes Crazy P, Hackney Colliery Band, Sound of the Sirens, Darthur Vader and Lack of Afro – who’s most recent album featured heavily on BBC 6 Music.
