A SERIES of life-saving workshops will take place next month in Bovey Tracey.

The new Paradiso arts centre is hosting three adult CPR and defibrillator workshops at the Bovey Paradiso as as part of its community offering. They will take place from 7pm-8.30pm on February 6, 7 and 10. There are 15 available places each evening.

The evenings will be hosted by Sue Hutchings, who is a qualified and experienced instructor. Sue will provide all the equipment and resources needed, plus handouts to take home. The workshop consists of an informative video followed by demonstrations and hands-on work.

The sessions will cover how the heart works, how to check if a person is breathing, the recovery position, cardiac arrest, CPR and the defibrillator and its importance. Comfortable clothing is recommended.

Tickets to cover costs are £5 and places can be booked at paradiso.org.uk/events.
