Every year it gets noisier and goes on for longer. When I was younger many moons ago it was just on November 5 except when that fell on a Sunday so it would be the day before.

Now it runs from the middle of October right into December with full blast from November 1 for at least a week.

What am I talking about – fireworks. I would like to see the shops banned from selling them.

No, I am not a misery. Our pets, our farm animals, horses etc, all get spooked by the noise.

What we need is for it to be regulated for one night a year and a registered display.
