A MOVING Light Up a Life Service was held in the Avenue Church, Newton Abbot, for families and friends to remember loved ones no longer with us.
The annual service, organised by Rowcroft Hospice, was led by the Rev Jon Doble, with a dedication of a Book of Remembrance and a prayer of remembrance by the chaplain of Rowcroft, the Rev Gill Still.
It also featured a solo by Richard Chambers, the singing of a carol by the children of Staverton’s St Christopher’s School choir, and the lighting of candles led by the mayor of Newton Abbot, Cllr Mike Ryan, and his wife Lin, mayoress.
Dedications in the Book of Light – Rowcroft Hospice remembrance books – can be viewed at the Light Up a Life venues throughout the year.
