The district's sea cadets are about to sign a ground breaking partnership.

The link between TS Canonteign and Teignmouth Community School will be the first of its kind in the south west region, which stretches from Birmingham and south Wales, across seven English counties.

Signing up to the cadet expansion programme will open the door to various funding raising streams to develop joint unit and school facilities in the future.

The new facilities at the school were inspected by Cmdr Nigel Morton, the south west area officer, appointed by the Royal Navy.
