MEMBERS are being sought for a new Lions Club which has been set up in Newton Abbot.

The town is joining the world’s largest service organisation, Lions Club International, which has more than 46,000 clubs worldwide.

Civic-minded men and women who want to join the club in working together to meet needs within the community are being hunted.

A one-hour information session is set to take place in the Jolly Farmer on tomorrow from 7.30pm.

The international club has 1.35 million members in 207 countries and geographical areas who aid the blind and visually impaired, champion youth initiatives and strengthen communities through hands-on service and humanitarian projects.
