A SHALDON mum-of-three still looks 10 years younger, one year on. Gill Collyer, 39, had a visit from the Channel Four team from 10 Years Younger this week to see how she was coping with her new regime. And they were pleased with what they saw despite being greeted by their protégé with a live hen in her hand. Mrs Collyer has been busy building hen houses for her five hens, two silkies, two pekins and a leghorn. And her chippy work has taken its toll on her nails, so the team whisked her off for a pampering manicure. Last year Mrs Collyer went under the knife for an upper and lower eyelift, botox, top-class dental work and glossy makeover for the warts and all programme.

Gill has stuck to her new look and says she feels so much better for it. 'I have so much more confidence in myself now, the surgery has meant I no longer feel I want to hide away and am much happier. 'I definitely take much more notice of what I should wear, and being in the spotlight means that I've got to keep it up, though that's not to say I haven't turned up at the playground looking less than my best on one or two occasions,' she said. Children Poppy, eight, Jojo, six and four-year-old Verity think that mum looks great. But they are more impressed with the hens. 'At about half past six every morning, they say "mum can we get the eggs" and off they trot in dressing gowns and wellies.' The programme is due to be screened in the new year.
