Residents living in parts of the district threatened by the bulldozer in a major new expansion plan have spoken about their fears for the future.

In the pipeline are almost 15,000 homes, retail centres, new roads and schemes to create thousands of jobs.

The projects are included in a 20-year Teignbridge development masterplan, the Core Strategy.

The details are due to be published on the web later this month and an eight-week public consultation will begin in January.

Officials insist the public's thoughts will be taken into account before the final plan is agreed.
