A TEIGNBRIDGE community centre is to benefit from National Lottery funding.

Newton Abbot’s Courtenay Centre is set to receive an ‘Awards for All’ grant from The National Lottery Community Fund.

A spokesman for the Courtenay Centre said: ‘The Courtenay Centre is happy to announce that we have received an Awards for All grant from The National Lottery Community Fund to allow us to provide some new activities at The Courtenay Centre over the next 12 months.

‘More details to follow, but in the meantime, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who play the Lottery.

‘You make a real difference to our community.’

National Lottery players raise more than £30 million each week for good causes throughout the UK; since the lottery began in 1994, £43 billion has been raised for good causes.
