A MAN was injured in a collision with a refuse lorry in Kingskwerswell this morning (thurs).

The pedestrian, aged 70, was said to be semi-conscious after the accident at Jury's Corner Close.

Police and paramedics attended the incident which happened just before 9.30am.

The man was taken by ambulance to Torbay Hopsital for treatment.

A police spokesman said the incident was not as serious as initially thought.

The pedestrian had suffered 'minor injuries' and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The refuse truck is operated by Teignbridge Council.
