ORGANISERS of one of the south west’s best beer, food and music festivals have released details of this year’s treats in Teignbridge.

Abbfest, which has raised more than £200,000 for charity this century, will be drinking, eating and listening for a good cause from September 22-24.

The 14th fun event will again be staged at Fermoys Garden Centre where 150 Devon beers will sampled together with 30 county ciders.

Top chefs - including Ellie Wentworth from last year’s Masterchef, The Professionals - will be on hand to show punters the secrets of their success.

Among those making merry with music will be Joey and The Lips, Nick Fish, Go Tell Alice and headlining act The Fab Beatles.

A spokesman said: ‘This year our Sunday will be a stomping affair with rock and blues bands from all over the country coming to perform throughout the day.

‘It will be dedicated to fundraising for Children’s Hospice Southwest who provide hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family across the South West.’ A free bus service will again run from Newton Abbot Railway Station to the festival site.
