Mayor of Teignmouth, Cllr Iain Palmer, said: ‘On behalf of the Full Council and the people of Teignmouth we sadly announce the passing of our Queen. 

‘She will be missed by us all, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family on this very sad occasion. God bless her for all her years of service to the country.

‘She will now join her beloved husband Prince Phillip.

‘May she rest in peace.’
