REGULAR readers will notice a difference in the appearance of this week’s newspaper.
Like so many businesses across Teignbridge, we are doing our utmost to keep things running as close to normal in these difficult times, to provide you with a service until the pandemic declines.
Following Government instructions, the Mid-Devon Advertiser, and its sister papers, have had to close our offices and our staff are now working from home. If you have any stories, news or pictures, let us know by email.
For the time being we are incorporating some of our stories with those from our sister papers to bring you news of what is happening across Devon. You may see new reporters and features during the coronavirus emergency and although things might look a little different, we offer you this commitment:
By all means discover what is happening, both nationally and across the world while the crisis prevails, through other media.
Rest assured, however, we continue to remain at the heart of Teignbridge, as we have always done, and will endeavour to bring you the news of what is happening in our region.
You may notice the page count might be smaller than usual. This is a consequence of many of our local businesses not advertising due to Government restrictions in opening times and availability.
We will continue to support our friends in the business community and wish them well with the struggle many of them no doubt face to see this through.
The Tindle News chief executive has this week sent a message of encouragement to the staff who are producing this paper. We believe it perfectly sums up the Tindle philosophy and our passion to provide you with the best local newspaper coverage of life in Teignbridge.
We’ll leave you with his words:
‘We will sustain our newspapers and websites in the best way we can. This will mean in some cases a different approach to content and layout but still with the same mantra of continuing to serve our local communities, by being first with local news and information, participating in the fabric of society and, where appropriate, holding to account local decision makers.
‘Stay safe in these hard times.’
Remember... we’re in this together. Please keep sending us your news and views to [email protected]
