MOTORISTS were caught up in long tailbacks again after recurring problems with traffic lights at Penn Inn, Newton Abbot.

Traffic was caught up all around the town as rush hour vehicles were delayed by up to an hour.

The snarl-up happened on Tuesday morning and is the latest in a line of similar incidents which have hit the main arterial route.

However, Devon County Council says on each occasion the issue has been caused by different problems.
