NEIGHBOURS living near the site of a model flying club in Kingsteignton are being subjected to 'offensive' noise, disturbing their peace, a planning inquiry has heard.

Residents around the site off Hestow Road at Whiteway Barton claim Exeter and District Radio Controlled Club's aircraft pose a danger to passing traffic, disturb wildlife in the area and that the 'drone' can be heard from their homes.

Six residents appeared at the hearing at Forde House, Newton Abbot, where the club was appealing against Teignbridge Council planners' refusal of its bid to fly on Sundays and amend the hours it can fly its aircraft and gliders.
