The future of Moretonhampstead Hospital is uncertain despite the fact it has reopened to inpatients.
All nine beds closed in January over reported concerns for patient safety but a recruitment drive for extra clinical staff failed.
the hospital has reopened but with only six beds – and without the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust publicly announcing it.
MP Mel Stride said he was continuing to press for the retention of all nine beds at what he called 'a vital resource for the community'.
