ONE of the breeding pairs of Black Swans in Dawlish has begun laying eggs again.
Rosie and Bluey have lost all their eggs laid so far as well as one chick which did hatch.
Now they have a total of five more eggs laid on a nest which has been built on what could be a vulnerable position.
The nest is one a strip of rubble and sediment in the Brook which is large as water levels are currently low.
The pair is relatively inexperienced at breeding compared with the other established couple Bert and Kimba who are successfully rearing five growing cygnets.
But it is hoped, if there is no heavy rain over the next few weeks, these eggs may hatch.
