POSTMASTER Lorraine Lee is 'ecstatic' that plans are afoot to move her Buckfast Post Office to bigger premises, securing its future in the community.

A planning consultation period has now started for the post office to move across the road – from The Mill Shop to part of the former carpet shop on Buckfast Road.

Buckfast Abbey, owner of the carpet shop, ceased letting the section earmarked for the new post office to Axminster Carpets in January this year.
