CYCLISTS from across South Devon are being invited to enjoy a fun day at Torbay’s Velopark in Paignton today to help raise funds for prostate cancer awareness and lifesaving equipment.
MPs Kevin Foster and Sarah Wollaston will be on hand to launch the fund-boosting proceedings at 10am with the strenuous show running until 4pm.
There are no entry fees with punters able to register on the day.
Organising Rotary clubs in the Bay are asking everyone across Torbay, Teignbridge and the South Hams to raise as much sponsorship cash as they can.
Proceeds will help pay for a hi-tech scanner at Torbay Hospital which can detect the killer condition at early stages. The cost is £110,000.
