INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed tenor Jack Foley returned to the streets of Newton Abbot at the weekend to give shoppers a musical treat.
The singer, who is a regular visitor to the town, was collecting money with his wife Beata for Cancer Research UK.
Town development manager Sally Henley said: ‘It was lovely to see Jack last Saturday, delighting shoppers with beautiful versions of popular classical and operatic tunes.
‘The couple are expecting their first child in just three weeks and so this was a real show of commitment. The next time we see Jack there may be a little treble on the Foley team.’
The soon-to-be-a-dad said: ‘We had a lovely day. the beautiful weather really helped and the Newton Abbot shoppers were really generous with their support for Cancer Research UK.’
