IT is all systems go at the Kingsteignton RBL club after fears that the Longford Lane Club would go under because of a lack of committee members.The club's annual meeting had been adjourned and when it was reopened on Wednesday last week, officers and committee were appointed for the coming year.Club chairman Bill Symmons explained that one of the problems was that the RBLs were moving on to the next generation to run the clubs and these people were still working.'With work commitments many find it hard to commit themselves to joining the committee, despite fully supporting the RBL.'Hence the reason for the annual meeting being adjourned in the first place. So to put all the rumours to bed we now have a full committee with the full support of the membership and are looking forward to the coming year in taking Kingsteignton RBL forward.'Already the club's Saturday night diary is filling up with bookings for parties for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, etc, so if you are thinking of holding a special occasion you had better get in quick.
