CHILDREN’S charity Brainwave proudly celebrated the grand re-opening of its much-loved Ashburton shop.
This comes after a major refurbishment that has completely transformed the space.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Martyn Brooks, Portreeve of Ashburton, alongside Shane Fleming, Master Bailiff, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for this high street favourite.
The shop has undergone a complete makeover, featuring a brand-new layout, stylish shelving and flooring, and a bright, modern interior.
The refreshed space offers a vastly improved shopping experience, with enhanced accessibility, well-spaced clothing racks, and expanded areas for games, puzzles, and the hidden gems that Brainwave shops are known for.
Keith Sinclair, CEO of Brainwave, said: ‘The transformation of Ashburton is nothing short of remarkable—it truly looks like a brand-new shop and wouldn’t look out of place on the BBC’s Interior Design Masters.
‘I want to extend my thanks to our incredible team who worked tirelessly to bring this refurbishment to life and get us back open again.
‘Their dedication and hard work made this possible.
‘Our charity shops are essential to the work we do at Brainwave.
‘Every purchase directly supports children with disabilities and additional needs both locally and across the UK.
‘As an independent charity receiving no statutory funding, we are deeply grateful for the continued support from our local community. You are helping us transform children’s lives’.
Brainwave is a national children’s charity that helps families with children who have disabilities achieve greater independence.
Using a range of therapies, the charity supports improvements in communication, mobility, and cognitive skills.
