AHEAD of its launch in September, organisers behind a brand new memory café are inviting people to attend a open afternoon.

September sees the launch of a new monthly memory café in Buckfastleigh for local people living with dementia.

But before then an open afternoon is to take place on from 2pm until 4pm on Tuesday, July 11, at the museum in the South Devon Railway.

The café is being launched by Conversation Works, which delivers cognitive stimulation therapy groups for people with memory problems and dementia in and around Buckfastleigh,

A spokesman said: ‘If you are interested in volunteering with us or finding out a little more about the memory café please drop by as we would love to meet you.’
