JUST like Egyptians… these Newton Abbot Carnival Queen maids of honour forsook the land of pyramids to grace a special celebration tea hosted by the town’s Royal British Legion.

The girls took part in six carnivals around the Teignbridge area this year, amassing prizemoney of £160 – a handsome sum split between Cleopatra (Hannah Woodward) and her grateful handmaidens.
