COMMONWEALTH flags were flying high all across the country this week - and Newton Abbot was no exception.

The flag was waving in the sky above the town council’s Newton Abbot headquarters on Monday morning.

Mayor Cllr Liz Roberts and Cllr Ken Purchase were joined by fellow members and council staff in raising the banner.
