AFTER an incredibly successful 2022, Newton Abbot YFC has kicked off 2023 with a bang!

As a club, we have recently chosen our club charity for the year to which our fundraising profits will be sent. The charity that we have chosen to support is Dartmoor Rescue.

Members are currently working hard to produce our entertainment performance for our group round at the end of the month, this year’s theme is a Murder Mystery.

We will be holding a charity performance night for the public to attend at the Rattery Village Hall on Friday 27th January at 7:00pm. Tickets will be £8, will include a drink and can be purchased on the door - please go to our Facebook page for more information.

Over the weekend we held our club charity Christmas tree collection, where members split up into areas in and surrounding Newton Abbot to collect a total of 72 Christmas trees.

We had five teams of people collecting trees and bringing them back to our meeting point. Trees were then chipped by members and fully recycled. We raised over £350 - a day of true YFC teamwork!

This was our first chance for members to display our sponsored club clothing for the year - we’d like to say a massive thank you to Battleford Farm and Ashburton Subaru for sponsoring our tops this year!
