TEIGNMOUTH is probably the only town in Devon not to have any empty shops.

It proves that despite the tough economic times that has left many communities with ugly boarded up stores, retailers are anxious to set up in the resort.

The good news came to light when a businesswoman scoured the town for a vacant retail unit.

Her search drew a blank – all the apparently empty premises were being refitted for new tenants.
