WASTE crews will not be working across Teignbridge on Bank Holiday Monday, the day of the Queen’s State Funeral.
A Teignbridge Council spokesperson said: ‘Our offices and services will be closed on the Bank Holiday to enable our staff to pay their respects on this momentous historical occasion, and watch the State Funeral take place.’
Collections will be scheduled for one day later than the usual collection day in line with the usual Bank Holiday arrangements, and they will be working on Saturday, September 24, to catch up on Friday’s collection.
‘Please put your bins out the day after your scheduled collection day and leave them out until collected, as some rounds are still running behind schedule.
‘All our leisure centres and pools will be closed for the day of the funeral. Teignbridge Leisure customers have been notified by email and social media updates will be posted this week.
‘Our offices and services will be closed on the Bank Holiday to enable our staff to pay their respects on this momentous historical occasion, and watch the State Funeral take place.
